Gospel Legend WEB Clay Evans Dies at 94

Prominent Pastor and Founder of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church

Clay Evans Jr., affectionately known as WEB Clay Evans, passed away on March 24, 2023, at the age of 94.

Evans was a respected African American Baptist pastor and the founder of the influential Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Oak Park, Illinois. According to a statement posted on his Instagram page, Evans died after suffering a massive stroke.

As a vice president of rapper T.I.'s Grand Hustle label, Evans played a significant role in the music industry. He provided guidance and support to renowned artists such as T.I., Travis Scott, and comedian Lil Duval.

Evans' legacy extends beyond music and ministry. He became a close ally to the late Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. during the Civil Rights Movement and remained a vocal advocate for social justice throughout his life.
