Pending regulatory approval

Launch time set for 9:25 AM EDT

SpaceX announced on March 5, 2024, that they were targeting a launch date of March 14, 2024 for their third Starship test flight, pending regulatory approval. On March 13, 2024, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) gave SpaceX the green light to proceed with the launch.

SpaceX is now targeting 9:25 AM EDT (13:25 GMT) for the launch of Starship from its Starbase facility near Boca Chica Beach in South Texas. The company announced on March 10 that Starship had passed a critical flight readiness review, and is now ready for launch.

SpaceX's Starship spacecraft and Super Heavy rocket, collectively referred to as Starship, represent a fully reusable transportation system designed to carry humans and cargo to the Moon, Mars, and beyond. SpaceX successfully launched Starship atop its Super Heavy booster from their Starbase facility in South Texas on March 14.
